چکیده

In two experiments (total N = 693), we explored whether people are willing to consider paintings made by AI-driven robots as art , and artists . Across the experiments, manipulated three factors: (i) agent type (AI-driven robot vs. human agent), (ii) behavior (intentional creation of a painting accidental creation), (iii) object (abstract representational painting). We found that judge roughly same extent. However, much less than humans, which is partially explained fact they disposed attribute artistic intentions robots.

AI as Art and Idolatry

Although most AI has been implemented in scientific or engineering applications, some AI is best seen as art. When AI is not merely model building-that is, when it makes machines that understand and display other human-like cognitive states then the result is verisimilitude, and AI becomes art. The standards by which we gauge the success of such systems depend upon how well they imitate humans,...

Artificial Intelligence: Art or Science?

Computer programs are new kinds of machines with great potential for improving the quality of life. In particular, expert systems could improve the ability of the small, weak and poor members of society to access the information they need to solve their problems. However, like most areas of computing, expert systems design is currently practiced as an art. In order to realise its potential it m...

“ What can FCA do for Artificial Intelligence ? ” FCA 4 AI

Preface Formal Concept Analysis (FCA) is a mathematically well-founded theory aimed at data analysis and classification. FCA allows one to build a concept lattice and a system of dependencies (implications) which can be used for many AI needs, e.g. knowledge processing involving learning, knowledge discovery, knowledge representation and reasoning, ontology engineering, as well as information r...
